VoIP providers in Armenia

ejointech

In Armenia, as in most countries of the former Soviet Union, the price of GSM services is still high. The reason is the closed market, controlled by three companies: VivaCell MTS, ArmenTel-Beeline and Orange, which have established and keep call charge rates virtually the same.

Thus, interested business VoIP operators join forces interacting with the State, so that a strict law on termination and GSM internet calling was adopted. As a result, the price for providing official internet calls can amount up to 22 cents per minute.

The latter will terminate traffic in the former socialist camp countries, including Armenia, giving some head start to use packages of VivaCell MTS. Thus could lead to development of independent cheap VoIP providers .
